The December Forecast
flowing with the tides of your life
Lately, I’ve been carrying a quiet frustration. As a Sagittarius, I’m supposed to revel in the journey, but instead, I’ve found myself restless and uncertain, tangled in thoughts of where I should be. This piece arrived like a breath of fresh air, gently reminding me of something I’d forgotten: there is beauty in letting go, in flowing with the unknown rather than fighting against it.
A few days ago, I made a vision board—hastily and from that same place of frustration, as if pinning down my dreams might make them feel more certain. But reading this months forecast shifted everything. It reminded me that fluidity isn’t about abandoning our goals; it’s about softening into the process, trusting that each step, even the unclear ones, is part of the adventure.
So, on December 30th, as Nneka suggests, I’ll begin again. I’ll sit with a calmer heart, not to fix where I am but to embrace it, and I’ll reimagine my vision board with a sense of curiosity and openness instead of urgency.

flowing with the tides of your life
Depending on where you are in the world, you may be experiencing the winter season right now. Winter is often regarded as Earth’s death cycle - and rightfully so - we see the foliage dying, the animals going off into hibernation, and the environment becoming frigid and cold.
In this month’s spiritual forecast, we’re being asked to look beyond the death around us, and peak into what lies ahead. It’s officially Sagittarius season, and Sagittarius represents the adventurer. This energy comes up during winter to remind us that death is not an end, but only a point in the journey - and actually, the very beginning of it.

fluidity
This month, we’re being called to flow with all that is arising. Fluidity isn’t necessarily passive, even though it does require a good amount of surrender, it also asks us to actively adapt and change form so we can flow with the conditions around us.
We often try to manifest good conditions and blessings for ourselves. While the universe does co-create with us, we need to actively maintain the energy we’re putting towards our dreams and goals. By incorporating fluidity into the mix, we can both surrender to the conditions that are around us, while using it as fuel to get us to our manifested reality.
This month, some of you might be feeling a bit frustrated. Maybe you’re not exactly where you wish to be. Maybe you don’t know where to begin your journey to get there. Maybe you’ve gotten what you wanted and realised it isn’t quite what it seemed, or maybe it’s everything it seemed but there’s a certain fear holding you back from enjoying it! Whatever the case may be, embracing a sense of fluidity may just be what you need to feel at peace with where you’re at. And from that peaceful mindset, you can tap into that adventurous Sagittarius energy that sees the road ahead and knows exactly where to go.
Instead of trying to force how things have to happen, trust that the Universe is co-creating with you, and whatever conditions you're facing at this time are the exact conditions you need to get to where you’re headed.
While Sagittarius isn’t known for the destination, it is known for the journey. Sagittarius is a traveler, which means they find deep enjoyment in the journey, in the surrender to the great unknown. As we are in Sagittarius season, take this time as encouragement to stop being so attached to where you’re going to end up, and instead find the joy and flow in where you currently are.
Some of you reading this may also be coming into a transitional time in your life, and may be facing uncertainty at what lies ahead. This month, you’re being asked to surrender your attachment to the way things have been, and flow with what is currently arising within your reality, with trust that everything will work out for your highest good.
Otherwise, a lot of us will be enjoying bouts of flow state, seemingly random bursts of creativity, and flows of energy finding us at sporadic times. See what happens when you follow those eureka moments (hint: that’s where the magic lies).
major upcoming astrological events
Sagittarius Season Ends on Dec 21st
Themes: adventure, travel, flow, optimism, whimsical, playful, philosophical
Cold Moon in Gemini Peaks at Dec 15th, 4:01AM EST
Themes: intelligence, introspection, interacting with the shadow, release, surrender
The first full moon of winter is referred to as the Cold Moon. And this cold moon takes place five days before the winter solstice, which is the darkest day of the year, so its energy arrives at a dark time both physically, and likely internally. Darkness does not necessarily equate to evil, but rather is more accurately described as the container of our true selves, the version of ourselves that is tucked most deeply within, is most vulnerable, and is therefore, the part we’re most protective of. This cold moon, we’re being asked to look as deeply into ourselves as we can, without judgement or objective. Just witness yourself in truth, allow yourself to be unmasked in the darkness. My only prompt for you this cold moon is: Who are you, truly?
CapricornSeason Starts on Dec 22nd
Themes: grounded, hard-working, practical, determination, self-reflection, earthy, rooted
New Moon in Capricorn Peaks at Dec 30th, 5:26 PM EST
Themes: determination, discipline, goal-setting, manifestation, consistency, maturity
The New Moon is the perfect time for manifesting, and as Capricorn is the first astrological sign to enter the new year (typical Capricorn behaviour), consider this New Moon the astrologically correct time to set your resolutions! I would like to challenge you to tap into Capricorn’s practical energy, and set goals that feel realistic, but also supportive of your highest reality.
For this New Moon, write a list of everything you want to achieve, be as honest as possible, and don’t try to overanalyze or justify what you want, just write it down. After that, try to adopt your best Capricorn persona (should be easy if you’re an actual Capricorn), and look through the list to see what you believe is actually achievable (listen to your intuition). Whatever you find on the list that doesn’t feel achievable, try and break it down into smaller, achievable steps. Go over your list again and repeat this process until your list is full of achievable steps! You can reference this list throughout the new year, and you can cross off items once you’ve achieved them!
